He probly won't eat because his tank is too stinting & cold. Bettas require at least 2.5 gallons with a heater since they are tropical fish.

If it is cooked it should be admirable. Just don't eat raw oysters. I would have the beer battered it is like a delicacy. Just Eat what you want.
